The Producer is responsible for managing the end-to-end production of educational and academic content, ensuring that learning materials are delivered on time, on brief, and at a high standard of quality. This role sits at the intersection of academic rigor, creative execution, and operational delivery, working closely with Academic teams, Subject Matter Experts, and production partners to translate curriculum and learning objectives into effective, engaging learning experiences.
1. End-to-End Content Production -Manage the full production lifecycle of educational content from concept to final delivery. -Translate academic briefs and learning objectives into clear production plans. -Ensure deliverables meet agreed scope, quality standards, and timelines. 2. Academic Content Translation -Work closely with Academic Leads and Subject Matter Experts to understand curriculum intent. -Convert complex academic concepts into learner-friendly content formats without compromising accuracy. -Ensure content tone, structure, and visuals align with educational goals and target learners. 3. Video & Learning Media Production -Oversee production of educational videos (lecture-style, explainer, animated, or hybrid formats). -Coordinate scripting, storyboarding, filming, animation, editing, and post-production. -Ensure visual and instructional design supports effective learning, not just aesthetics. 4. Project & Timeline Management -Create and maintain detailed production schedules and milestones. -Coordinate internal teams and external vendors (e.g., editors, animators, studios). -Identify risks, bottlenecks, or scope changes and proactively resolve issues. 5. Quality Control & Academic Alignment -Conduct quality checks to ensure content accuracy, clarity, and consistency with academic standards. -Ensure final outputs align with curriculum requirements and academic approvals. -Incorporate feedback from academic reviewers and stakeholders efficiently. 6. Cross-Functional Collaboration -Work closely with Academic, Content, Project Management, and Product teams. -Act as the key coordination point between academic intent and production execution. -Support smooth handover of content into platforms or learning systems. 7. Process Improvement & Best Practices -Continuously improve production workflows for efficiency and quality. -Document production processes, templates, and best practices. -Recommend tools, formats, or methods that enhance learning impact.
- Experience in content production, media production, or learning content development. - Proven experience producing educational or academic content (video or digital learning media preferred). - Strong understanding of how learners engage with educational content. - Ability to work with Subject Matter Experts and academic stakeholders. - Excellent project management and coordination skills. - Detail-oriented with strong quality control mindset. - Experience in EdTech, Education, Publishing, or Learning Platforms is a strong plus.
