Senior RD Packaging

- Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, and Procurement teams to develop and source cosmetic packaging components such as glass bottles, pump bottles, lipstick tubes, cream jars, sachets, etc.
- Analyze packaging materials in terms of function, aesthetics, product compatibility, and production feasibility.
- Coordinate with local and international suppliers to source high-quality materials that meet company standards while ensuring cost efficiency.
- Review and approve packaging specifications, BOMs, and technical drawings in collaboration with the technical team.
- Support strategic sourcing activities such as RFQs, cost breakdown analysis, and the development of new suppliers.
- Conduct packaging durability tests such as drop tests, leakage tests, and compatibility tests with cosmetic formulas.
- Collaborate with QA/QC departments to inspect packaging material quality and verify supplier certifications such as GMP, ISO 22716, FSC.
- Stay up-to-date with cosmetic packaging trends including sustainable packaging, refill systems, minimalist design, and luxury aesthetics.
- Prepare technical documentation and evaluation reports for packaging projects.

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, Cosmetic Science, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in packaging R&D or packaging procurement in the cosmetics or personal care industry.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in packaging R&D or packaging procurement in the cosmetics or personal care industry.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in packaging R&D or packaging procurement in the cosmetics or personal care industry.
- Experience in packaging compatibility testing with cosmetic formulations.
- Proven ability to work with international suppliers, especially from China, Korea, Japan, or Europe.
- Good command of English (able to read specifications and communicate with suppliers).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or ERP systems
- Knowledge of Circular Economy principles and eco-friendly packaging solutions.
- A portfolio of outstanding packaging designs or experience working with premium cosmetic brands.
