Site Draftsman

About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Architectural & Interior Draftsman who is strong in drawing production and has real experience in Design & Build residential projects.
This role focuses on accurate, buildable drawings and close coordination with the construction site.
It is not a concept designer role. Design skills are required only at a practical level for coordination and client approval.

Drawing & Technical Work
Prepare architectural and interior drawings including:
Tender drawings
Construction drawings
Shop drawings
As-built drawings
Produce drawings that can be used directly on site.
Prepare construction details, material information, and quantities for suppliers and contractors.
Update drawings according to Design & Build workflow and site conditions.
Design Support (Practical Level)
Modify drawings or 3D models for client and consultant approval.
Use SketchUp or similar software at a basic level (open, adjust, rotate, revise models).
Focus on function and buildability, not high-end design or concept creation.
Site & Construction Coordination
Coordinate with site engineers, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
Handle and respond to RFI (Request for Information) and RFA (Request for Approval).
Attend site meetings or site visits when required.
Support the construction team to ensure drawings match actual site work.
Loose Furniture
Prepare loose furniture shop drawings.
Coordinate with furniture suppliers to ensure correct dimensions, materials, and installation.
Team Support & Drawing Review
Check and review drawings prepared by junior draftsmen.
Help organize drawing tasks to match construction timelines.
Cost Awareness
Understand how drawing changes or material changes affect project cost.
Have basic knowledge of local material and labor prices.
Provide technical feedback to management.
(Final cost and budget decisions are handled by management.)
Required Skills
Advanced AutoCAD skills (X-ref, layouts, annotative, dynamic blocks, attribute blocks).
Strong understanding of residential construction details.
Experience preparing drawings for Design & Build projects.
Basic knowledge of SketchUp or other 3D software.
Good knowledge of BOQ structure, materials, and construction methods.
Able to use MS Office; Photoshop is a plus.

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or related fields.
At least 10 years of experience in architectural or interior drafting.
Design & Build experience is required (mandatory).
Strong experience in residential projects.
Candidates with Interior background are welcome if they have real site and construction coordination experience.
Able to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
